All Wheel Drive
The addition of all-wheel drive in a typical SUV gives the driver more control. But the ID.4 is anything but typical. Available all-wheel drive means getting a second electric motor at the front wheels – giving you quicker acceleration and intelligent handling that distributes all that electric power where it’s needed most.
The ID.4 is designed with all passengers in mind – not just the driver – with 1,045 mm of legroom in the first row, and 954 mm in the second. Plus, with up to 1,818 L of cargo space with the rear seats folded down, you’ll feel the difference the MEB platform makes. The ID.4’s smartly designed interior is there to keep you and your friends as comfortable as possible – helping ensure that you always have space to spare.
Going electric doesn’t mean giving up what makes driving a VW so exhilarating. From the moment you hit the pedal of your ID.4, you’ll sink into your seat as the instant torque takes over.
While acceleration is much quieter than with a combustion engine, we can’t promise you won’t break the silence with a few oohs and aahs along the way. Especially as you experience going 0-96 km/h in 5.8 seconds* with available AWD.
Not only is the ID.4 better for the world, but it feels great to drive.
*Please drive safely and obey all traffic laws, including speed limits.
With an estimated 400km of range,* the ID.4 can take you where you need to go and then some. That’s about the distance from Toronto to Ottawa.*
**Combined range estimate based on preliminary testing by Volkswagen, in accordance with Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) guidelines. Official range rating, once confirmed, will be published in NRCan’s 2021 Fuel Consumption Guide. Full battery charge is required. Actual driving range will vary based on driving and charging habits, weather and temperature, battery age and vehicle condition. Battery capacity decreases with time and use. For vehicles sold equipped with summer performance tires, note that appropriate all-season or winter weather tires are required for driving during cold, snowy or icy weather conditions. Please remember that the use of winter tires may be mandatory in your province or territory. Airbags are supplemental restraints only and will not deploy under all accident scenarios. Always use safety belts and seat children only in the rear seats, using restraint systems appropriate for their size and age.
